Val d'Anniviers mostly attracts hikers and mountain climbers. Hikers can walk many trails to get to stunning lookouts and reach the mountain cabins. From there, the more experienced can set off on an advanture on routes reminiscent of the great Alpine epics. The valley is particularly popular among climbers for its diversity of high mountain routes.
The countryside surroundings around St-Luc and Chandolin is a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. A botanical footpath allows to discover 24 species of orchids and leads to an 860-year-old giant larch tree. The Illgraben is a spectacular feature of the landscape near Chandolin. This gigantic rocky cirque (unique in Europe) is the result of a massive landslide due to erosion. Through its 60 cm diameter telescope, the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory in St-Luc allows everyone to get closer the star. On the Planetery Footpaht that goes up to 2500 m, we can further deepen our knowledge about the dimensions that exist in the Universe.
Thrill seekers can bungee jump from the suspension bridge or go zip-lining and other breathtaking activities in Niouc! Via Ferrata of Grimentz-Moiry invites you to discover the joys of climbing. Canyoning is also possible in the Navizence and learning paragliding. Impossible to keep one foot on earth, even at the Forest Adventure Park in Vercorin, where it is in the air that young and old will battle to see who is the most daring!
From June 1st to October 31st, the Pass Anniviers Liberté gives you free access to all the transport, ski lifts and more than 20 activities in the valley.

- Hike up to the panoramic peak of Bella-Tola (3025 m), which offers a stunning view over the Imperial Crown.
- Hike to Hotel Weisshorn (2337 m), built by English entrepreneurs in the 19th century and have spectacular views over Val d'Anniviers and Matterhorn
- François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory in St-Luc and the Planetery Path: A modern observatory and a long path of 6 km between 2180 and 2500 m altitude.
- Grain mills of the 18th century in St-Luc: well-preserved historic mills, which were used to grind corn, barley, rye and wheat.
- Downhill mountain biking from Tignousa through the forest of St-Luc.
- Baking rye bread in the communal oven.
